Treatment Orientation and Experience
At Brendanmoor Therapy LLC, I take a relational, client-centered, trauma-informed approach to individual, family, and couples therapy, while remaining eclectic and drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Attachment Theory. I am an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider and am passionate about treating ADHD, dispelling myths, and coaching those who are newly-diagnosed through treatment options, as well as providing tools for improving executive functioning. My therapeutic style is casual, conversational and built on authenticity. It’s crucial to me that clinical jargon doesn’t get in the way of building trust and mutual understanding. At the same time, I want you to feel confident that my clinical skills have been honed over decades of formal education, experience, ongoing training, and research. I also value the roles art, music, and humor play - both in the healing process, & as avenues toward reaching one’s full potential. In my 30+ years as an activist, social worker & psychotherapist, I’ve worked with clients and colleagues who have cut across class, sexuality, gender, and ethnicity lines. I see the process of earning clients' trust as nothing short of an honor, & am devoted to building and sustaining clinical relationships that reflect this.
I’m licensed in both Pennsylvania (License # CW018657) and New Jersey (License # 44SC05928700)
